Paul Goyea

Having joined the business in 2005, and with the support of Chairman Chris Birch, Paul became the company’s first non-family Managing Director in 2013.

Since taking on the role, Paul has strengthened the business by bringing experienced professionals onto the board of Directors and into the senior leadership team. This strategic approach has enhanced the company’s capability and broadened its relationships, while maintaining the high standards of construction services, craftsmanship and innovation for which the business is known.

Under Paul’s leadership, the company has continued to expand the range of services it offers to the market, building on its long-established public sector and heritage connections while developing new sectors and partnerships. This growth is underpinned by a strong commitment to safety, environmental responsibility and quality across all areas of the business.

A Chartered Member of both the CIOB and ICE, Paul is a strong advocate for ongoing professional development and remains committed to investing in employee training and upskilling to support the next generation of construction professionals.

Paul has lived in the York area for over 15 years with his family and their animals and feels a strong connection to the local community and countryside. Over the years, he has supported several local groups and initiatives. More recently, he has enjoyed exploring further afield, visiting, and walking in some of the world’s more remote and inspiring locations.
