William Birch two awards at the 2018 York Build of Building Craftsmanship Awards.
We are delighted to scoop two awards at the 2018 York Guild of Building Craftsmanship Awards;
Michael Knight for his work in constructing a humidity buffer at the new Weston Centre at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park, a unique structure, and only the 2nd to be built in the UK.
In addition, Paul Birch and David Hayes for their project at 33 St Mary's in York, for the formation of a rear entrance walled gateway using specially handmade bricks and traditional bricklaying techniques.
Chris Birch, Chairman said “it is always a great pleasure to hear of our employees winning awards for their hard work and dedication to the industry. This is especially rewarding when two of the award winners are recent graduate apprentices with the business, in contrast to the third winner, Paul, who has been with the business for 28 years; demonstrating our commitment to growing new talent and holding onto those who show great passion and enthusiasm for their work. Congratulations to them all, it is a great achievement”
