Arnold Birch Charity Golf Day

As part of the ongoing fundraising for St Leonard’s Hospice in York, William Birch & Sons Ltd, held the 2015 Arnold Birch Charity Golf Day at Forest Park Golf Club, Stockton on Forest

A total of 62 players split into 16 teams, made up of William Birch employees, suppliers, subcontractors and clients, played the course and Terry Brown of Millennium Windows putted his way to victory, and took the Arnold Birch Trophy for the best individual score on the day.

Various raffles and other fundraising events took place on the day and in the run up to the event which raised over £4,700, a great success and testament to the organisers and all supporters.

Lee Scaife, Contracts Manager and one of the event organisers said “This event along with others including the Plusnet Yorkshire Marathon, has contributed to the huge efforts in the business over the last few months to raise funds for the Hospice which has touched and will touch so many of us locally. We are delighted to be so well supported by those that we work with to raise funds for their vital work in the city.”

Special thanks goes to Kilvington Hawkswell who sponsored the trophies and medals, Tiger Scaffolding for the winner’s prizes, Archer Safety Signs for corporate signage, Lewis Outing for the photography on the day and Classic Carpets for sponsoring the Half Way House. As well as all the hole sponsors, those who sponsored the nearest the pins, longest drive and donated raffle prizes.

A huge thank you also  to the organisers of the day who made it all happen; Lee Scaife (Contracts Manager); Carl Barrow (Site Manager), David Robertson (General Operative) and Andrew Marshall (Buyer).
