Work is shortly to commence at the crematorium in Bishopthorpe, extending and upgrading the facilities to enable the installation of new cremators. A second project win sees the design and construction of a new single storey extension to the existing gymnasium at the Energise Leisure Centre on the site of York High School in Acomb. This is a return to site for the William Birch team after completing an extension to provide sports facilities back in 2006. David Holden, Commercial Director said “we are delighted to have a double win in our home city, where we have been established for nearly 140 years, and we look forward to seeing two important public buildings improved for the city of York and its community”
