Project Overview

The project, awarded to William Birch under the University’s construction framework, comprised the refurbishment of an existing prayer space and adjacent cleaner’s area to form a new Physiotherapy teaching space and dry changing facility for the School of Allied Health Professions and Sport.

Scope of Works

The works comprised a comprehensive refurbishment to enhance the delivery of student healthcare education, including alterations to doors, partitions and screens; upgrades to existing floor finishes; M&E modifications; minor building works; and the installation of new internal finishes and decorations to create a safe, compliant and welcoming clinical environment.

Outcome

The new Allied Health Professions and Sport space provides a larger, more modern facility to accommodate the Universities associated courses and attract prospective students. The new Physiotherapy area provides a high standard teaching and learning space to both the students and staff.
