Steve Coupland and Ben Wardell are pictured with Dr Jane Grenville Pro - Vice Chancellor having just received stonemasonry and brickwork prizes from her at the York College Construction Awards Ceremony.

Ben not only received the award for "The Most Improved Bricklayer" but also received the "York College Brickwork Competition" award.

Steve's award was for "Dedication in Stonemasonry Studies". he also heard this month that he had been offered a six month placement with York Minster's stonemasonry department under the Traditional Skills Bursary Scheme which is sponsored by English Heritage, The National Trust, Construction Skills and the Heritage Lottery Fund.
